Scouts Campsite and Activity Centre, Fernycrofts

Fernycrofts Open Day – Fernycrofts campsite, the jewel of Hampshire Scouting, opens its doors and all of the activities on offer to the public including zip-wire, abseiling, climbing, archery, assault course, rafting, go-karts, pond-dipping, high-ropes, backwoods cooking. You can buy tickets for a pound each which you can exchange for the activities on offer, food and drinks all day (variable number of tickets per activity). It’s very popular and there can be queues for activities but there is a lot on offer and siblings and grown-ups can play too (subject to some age/height limits).

Annual Beaver Scouts Day

This has been open to all sections in the past but was only for Beaver Scouts in 2015 although some Scouts were invited to make up extra helpers to accompany Beaver Scout on rides. It’s usually a Sunday in late November. There are no free tickets for leaders but each child receives a Christmas present from Santa in the Wonderland. Cost per ticket was £16 (2015)
Again, keep an eye out on the locations as for Marwell.
