Welcome to 6th Winchester (Abbotts Barton & Hyde)

6th Winchester Scout Group was established in 2014 by a group of parents who were keen for their children to get involved with Scouting but found themselves faced with lengthy waiting lists for other Groups.

We now offer over 150 children and young people a varied and exciting programme of learning and activities which they may not otherwise have access to.

Our Beaver colonies and Cub packs meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Upper Brook Street and our Scout troops meet on Mondays and Thursdays at Holy Trinity Church hall and the Salvation Army church, Parchment Street. Although most of our members live in Abbotts Barton, Hyde and the City Centre we attract children and young people from all over Winchester.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.
